Dental Hygenist Location- Mount Pleasant Family Dental Description Our dental practice needs a Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team. We serve all demographics of the population, as well as English and Spanish speaking patients, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept walk-ins and take emergency calls. We accept both insurance and cash patients. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask and work well with others in a fast-paced atmosphere. Responsibilities Review the daily schedules for hygiene patients with appropriate team member Accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health Perform prophylaxis, scaling root planning, debridement and selective polishing Take radiographs Apply Arrestin, fluoride and sealants Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques Counsel patients on oral health Document pertinent observations and patient’s conditions and responses to recommendations for care. Clean and sterilize instruments Perform other tasks assigned by dentist. Requirements Current RDH state license in good standing Current CPR certification Excellent Verbal communication skills Great team player Willing to learn and grow Basic understanding of HIPAA and privacy rules.
