Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will assist the dentist in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support both clinical functions within the practice. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of pediatric patients. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary materials. Take and record medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant patient information. Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with practice protocols. Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and confirming patient visits. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and for record keeping and scheduling. Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support Tx procedures as needed, ensuring all materials are ready for use. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth operation of daily activities. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures is essential. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and is highly desirable. Experience with medical documentation practices to maintain accurate patient records. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring to ensure patient safety during visits. Understanding of endodontics principles to assist effectively during related procedures. Strong communication skills to interact positively with children and their families. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a professional demeanor. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
