Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Avon, MA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, infection control, and dental procedures, with experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health services, educating patients, and supporting the dental team in delivering exceptional care. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care tailored to pediatric and adult patients. Manage patient records using EMR systems like Dentrix, ensuring proper documentation review . Support infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination within the dental clinic environment. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery in general dentistry settings. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office or clinic environment is required. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation review processes is essential. Experience working with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Prior exposure to infection control standards, aseptic technique, and medical imaging procedures is necessary. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management. Certification as a licensed Dental Hygienist with current state licensure is mandatory.
