Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and efficient clinical environment. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred, along with a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics specialties. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining infection control standards and supporting the overall operations of our dental clinic. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Take and record vital signs and medical imaging such as X-rays and 3D scans Manage patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques Provide patient education on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care Assist with infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding for billing purposes Monitor anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry to assist in complex procedures in endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatrics as required Qualifications Prior experience in dental assisting or working within a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding processes Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging including 3D scanners, and pediatric dentistry is a plus Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures along with specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages including pediatrics Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position provides an engaging opportunity for qualified individuals passionate about delivering exceptional dental care while supporting the health and well-being of our patients.
