Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred, along with familiarity in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry procedures. The Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with our dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for our patients. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, documentation review, Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Maintain accurate and detailed dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support infection control protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Monitor patient comfort levels throughout treatments and address any concerns promptly Ensure the clinical area is maintained in a clean, organized, and sterile condition according to infection control standards Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Proven experience in dental office settings, Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus; Strong patient care skills with excellent communication abilities Ability to work as a member of a close knit dental team Understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation review accurately Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique Experience doing Denture Adjustments, Making Night Guards etc. a plus This position offers an opportunity to be part of a professional team dedicated to delivering outstanding oral healthcare.
