Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Miami, FL

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Assist dentists during various procedures using chairside assisting techniques and aseptic techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring infection control standards are met Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed Manage patient flow efficiently, including greeting patients as a dental receptionist and scheduling appointments Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance using appropriate dental terminology Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform dental laboratory tasks such as assisting with prosthodontics or other restorative procedures Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing specialized assistance tailored to childrenâs needs Ensure all clinical areas adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Scan with Itero and help designing crowns perform whitening with BOOST Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics is advantageous Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography is preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic technique in a clinical environment Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care This position offers a rewarding career opportunity for motivated individuals committed to delivering high-quality dental care in a professional environment.
