The Dental Assistant w/ Digtal Dentistry & Smile Design experience is a highly skill clinical professional responsible for executing and leading all chairside digital dentistry workflow related to same-day retoration, CAD/CAM dentistry, and esthetic smile design, with strong emphasis on anterior crowns and cosmetic outcomes. We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Digital Dentistry & Smile Design Technician to join our innovative dental team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the digital workflow for smile design and dental fabrication, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. You will collaborate closely with dentists and patients, and drive the integration of cutting-edge digital tools to transform patient outcomes. Your expertise will help shape beautiful smiles while maintaining efficient laboratory operations, fostering a vibrant and forward-thinking environment that elevates patient care. Responsibilities Lead the digital workflow for smile design, including 3D imaging, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), Primescan, Itero, and Cerec mill. Collaborate with dentists to interpret clinical data, medical imaging, and patient assessments to create customized treatment plans. Oversee chairside assisting during procedures involving digital impressions, intraoral scanning, and other advanced sam day dentistry. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and dental documentation standards across all laboratory activities. Maintain equipment calibration and ensure proper infection control practices are followed in all laboratory processes. Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technology, dental materials, and anatomy knowledge to continually improve smile design outcomes. Requirements Plenty of Experience with Primescan, Cerec mill, Itero and sameday dentistry tools. Proven experience in dental assisting, dental fabrication, or laboratory work within a dental office setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and imaging techniques relevant to dentistry. Hands-on experience with CAD software for smile design and digital dentistry workflows; familiarity with 3D printing or milling equipment is a plus. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or equivalent platforms for managing medical records and documentation. Ability to perform chairside assisting during digital impression procedures and patient assessments effectively. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance in a healthcare environment. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinicians, patients, and laboratory teams. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members and manage workflow efficiently.
