Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires proficiency in various dental practices, including oral surgery, as well as familiarity with dental terminology. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support. Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols. Document medical information accurately, including patient history and treatment plans in the electronic health record system Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Skills Proficiency in oral surgery dentistry practices. Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques. Understanding of dental terminology specific to surgical assistance. Experience in assisting during endodontic procedures.
