Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Butte, MT

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting, utilizing advanced dental technology and adhering to strict infection control protocols. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take dental X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic techniques and infection control standards Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and other patient information using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care procedures Operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices Maintain a sterile environment through infection control practices and proper handling of dental instruments Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as medical coding, documentation, and managing electronic health records Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to aseptic technique and anatomy knowledge during procedures Qualifications Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics is preferred but not mandatory Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where you can grow your skills in dental assisting while contributing to patient health and comfort.
