Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Bangor, ME
We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our dental team on a full/part time basis. This may lead to a permanent position. Message us if you have any questions. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety. Pay is competitive and will be discussed based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations. Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth Take dental x-rays Assess patients' oral health (intra-oral pics, charting and periodontal probing) and provide appropriate treatment recommendations Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Document patient treatment records accurately in OpenDental Follow all infection control protocols and maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and satisfaction. Qualifications Associate degree or bachelorâs degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program Current state license and x-ray certification or able to obtain Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques Excellent communication skills Schedule Varies/Flexible Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Ability to Commute: Bangor, ME 04401 (Required) Work Location: In person
