Duties Provide comprehensive dental care to patients, including general dentistry procedures or specialized treatments such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatric dentistry. Utilize advanced dental equipment and technology to perform procedures efficiently and accurately. Maintain detailed and accurate medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review, oral examinations, and treatment planning. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and uphold clinic standards. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations, including four-handed dentistry practices for efficiency. Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and post-procedure care using clear dental terminology. Manage medical imaging procedures such as X-rays and interpret findings to assist diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards related to medical documentation and infection control. Requirements Valid license to practice dentistry in the respective jurisdiction; certification as a general dentist or relevant specialty (e.g., pediatric dentistry, oral surgery). Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar systems. Experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and medical records management. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and dental fabrication techniques. Demonstrated ability in root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics procedures, endodontics, and other specialty treatments if applicable. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and interpretation of diagnostic results. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient outcomes.
