Looking for an eager Dental Assistant to join a team at a new General Dentistry practice. Description: The Dental Assistant will assist the Dentist in both administrative and clinical duties. The assistant will provide patient and practice support services, which will include: · Escort patients to work stations and answer any general questions. · Prepares and sterilizes operatory for the patients. · Timely prepare treatment area by sterilizing, positioning, and delivering instruments for dentist’s access. · Actively hand instruments and materials as needed to Dentist during exams and procedures in order to help maintain patient comfort and efficiency. · Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth. · Able to assist in endodontic treatment, extractions, and implant dentistry. · Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. · Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner. Schedule: Full-time position with opportunity to add more hours with practice growth. Qualifications: · X-ray License preferred. · Registered Dental Assistant License preferred but not required. · Preferred one year of dental practice experience. · Spanish speaking a plus. · Understanding of health & safety regulations.
