Hereâs a look at what your day-to-day will include (but isn't limited to): Assist the dentist and hygienists during procedures , as well as with pre-op and post-op care Mentoring and guiding other dental assistants as our team grows. Your ability to grow within your career here will depend on your ability to help others grow. Manage the patient flow! Help ensure a smooth patient experience in the clinical area. Have supplies and lab cases ready for each patient's appointment. Collaborating with the front desk with a positive attitude is everything! We care as much about our team's experience as we do about patient experience. Handle inventory and ordering , keeping supplies well-stocked and within budget. Ensure our lab cases are ready for our patients. Keeping our clinical area organized and spotless. Ensure rooms are set up for doctors and hygienists, and that the office is following sterilization protocols. Hereâs how our schedule generally works: One week, it's Monday through Friday . The following week, it's Wednesday through Saturday , with Saturday being a half-day. The following week, itâs Monday through Friday , followed by Wednesday through Saturday the next week, and so forth. The schedule is essentially alternating between a long work week and a shortened work week. What this means is we're also alternating between longer four-day weekends and shorter one-day weekends , and a chance for better work-life balance!
