Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are maintained, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. This role involves working closely with dentists and patients to deliver high-quality dental care in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Dentrix dental software is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. Hourly pay will be dependent on experience and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are met. Take and develop dental X-rays, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records using Dentrix Obtain vital signs and medical history information Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment following infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency with Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is preferred Familiarity with infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes required for safe practice. Certification in X-ray technology for dental radiography is preferred.
