Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The position involves assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and supporting the overall operations of our dental clinic. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when necessary. Record vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance during procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health practices. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards. Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring their comfort during visits. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is required; experience with dental clinic operations including medical coding and records management is preferred. Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols is essential. Experience working in pediatric dentistry or with pediatric patients is a plus. Certification or registration as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required; ongoing education in advanced dental assisting techniques is advantageous. Prior exposure to chairside assisting involving endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry enhances candidacy.
