Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Bellerose, NY
We are a high-end technology and fast paced practice. Our office does a wide variety of procedures from fillings to implants. Experience is a must. Currently use digital scanner so experience with a scanner is preferred. Urgently Hiring Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Take and record patients' vital signs - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Take dental X-rays and process them for the dentist's review - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and trimming trays - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records - Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - Knowledge of dental anatomy and medical terminology - Proficiency in using dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix) - Experience taking dental X-rays and familiarity with X-ray processing techniques - Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
