Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to all safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain oral health. Take and record vital signs, medical history, and assess patient health status. Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans. Use dental imaging technology to capture intraoral images as needed. Document treatment procedures accurately in electronic medical records following HIPAA regulations. Ensure infection control standards are maintained through proper aseptic techniques and sterilization processes. Review medical records for accurate documentation and compliance with legal standards. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with dentists on patient assessment and treatment planning for comprehensive care. Experience Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure. Prior experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Background in pediatric dentistry or experience working with children is a plus.
