Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Perio Hygienist to join the periodontal office on Thursdays for seeing patients around 8AM-1PM! In this role, you will focus on providing exceptional periodontal care, supporting patients through education and treatment of gum health, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive oral health services. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes, promote healthy smiles, and ensure a smooth, efficient clinical environment. Duties Perform periodontal assessments, including probing depths using Dentrix electronic health record (EHR) system Educate patients on periodontal disease prevention and oral hygiene practices Take x rays Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR systems and review medical records for comprehensive treatment planning Use a cavitron and prophy jet Interact and socialize with patients of various age groups Qualifications Proven experience as a dental hygienist with a focus on periodontal therapy; prior dental office or clinic experience is preferred Proficiency in Dentrix EHR systems for documentation and patient management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding practices Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team Join us in delivering top-tier periodontal care that transforms smiles!
