Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, patient care, and clinic operations. This role involves providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient records, and supporting the delivery of high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is essential to ensure efficient practice management while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in medical imaging, X-ray techniques, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while ensuring sterilization and infection control standards are met. Take and develop dental X-rays; perform vital signs measurements and document medical history accurately. Manage electronic health records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and procedure efficiency. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and assisting with billing or coding as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines related to anatomy knowledge, medical imaging, and infection prevention. Experience Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dental clinic is highly preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding processes related to dental procedures. Hands-on experience with X-ray technology, 3D scanners, and other dental imaging equipment. Familiarity with infection control practices specific to dentistry including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Experience supporting various specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous but not required. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatrics to assist effectively during procedures.
