Job Summary Provides ongoing preventive oral care by cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent gum disease Responsibilities Educates patient on preventative care and periodontal disease Records periodontal conditions, occlusal relations, the extent of prophylaxis, and treatment plans Evaluates gingival health and health of all oral tissue Performs prophylaxis, debridement, SRP, and fluoride varnish as needed per patient’s recommended treatment Prepares treatment rooms including decontamination, sterilization, cleaning handpieces and room, restocks supplies Takes necessary radiographs Schedules patients’ next hygiene visit Review the patient’s medical history and update it accordingly Provides excellent customer service Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist This practice is independently owned and operated.
