Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Chantilly, VA

Our modern, established office is expanding our Dental Assistant Team. We are a NON-corporate dental practice, focused on high quality, individual care and looking for a FT 32hr (4 day week) experienced Assistant with great communication skills to provide exceptional patient care. The right candidate will be a motivated, enthusiastic Team player willing to go the extra mile. Itero scanning experience, X-Ray proficiency, four handed dentistry, and understanding of treatment planning and advanced dental concepts requested. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems such as Open. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record vital signs and update patient medical histories prior to treatment. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications. Ensure the dental office is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Skills Proficiency in medical documentation and understanding of medical terminology. Experience with medical coding is a plus. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is beneficial but not required. Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records. Familiarity with taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
