Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Solon, OH

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and experience with various dental software systems. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in patient assessment, education, and maintaining high standards of infection control and documentation. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration Assist with patient assessment and review medical histories to ensure comprehensive care Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans Utilize dental imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes while maintaining aseptic techniques Support chairside assisting during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques Document treatment procedures accurately in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed according to HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards Review medical records for completeness and accuracy before procedures Maintain sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of operatories in accordance with infection control standards Collaborate with dentists to ensure seamless patient care delivery across general dentistry and pediatric dentistry services Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting, with familiarity in dental office operations and documentation review Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems is highly preferred Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices, including pediatrics-specific patient care approaches Skilled in medical coding related to dental procedures and documentation for accurate recordkeeping Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and infection control protocols Experience with medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring is advantageous Prior experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment is desirable Join our team to provide compassionate patient care while utilizing your expertise in dental hygiene practices.
