Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix. Experience in pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry, and medical imaging is highly desirable. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in patient assessment, education, and overall oral health management. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans to promote optimal dental health Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting techniques and proper aseptic protocol Capture and interpret dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in EMR systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness Follow infection control procedures adhering to OSHA standards and aseptic techniques Manage patient flow efficiently to ensure a positive experience for all patients Stay updated on current dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and medical coding standards Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix preferred Experience with pediatric dentistry, medical imaging, and four-handed dentistry is advantageous Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, infection control, and HIPAA regulations Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred Knowledge of EMR systems, documentation review, medical coding, and medical terminology is beneficial Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic techniques This position offers the opportunity to work within a professional environment dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care while supporting your continued growth in the field of dentistry.
