No accelerated hygiene or double booked rooms. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment plans, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic health records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for seamless documentation review and medical coding processes. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting.
