Full-Time Registered Dental Assistant - SmileCraft Dental Studio - Lutz, FL

SmileCraft Dental Studio is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Dental Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will work closely with our dentists to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining a smooth and efficient operation in our dental office. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during patient examinations and treatments. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. Take digital dental X-rays. Ensure patient comfort during procedures, providing clear communication and assistance as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, noting treatment plans and progress. Prepare materials for fillings, root canals, surgical extractions, and other dental procedures. Provide patient education on post-treatment care and general oral hygiene. Manage the flow of patients, ensuring that appointments are on schedule. Perform basic office duties such as assisting with patient check-in and handling administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification required. Minimum 1-2 years dental assistant experience. X-ray certification (as required by state regulations). Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients. Knowledge of dental terminology, open dental, and basic dental procedures. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals. Proficiency in sterilization and infection control procedures. Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Experience fabricating temporary crowns and bridges Proficiency with digital scanning systems (iTero preferred) Friendly, compassionate demeanor and patient-focused attitude. Ability to handle dental equipment with precision. Adaptability to change and willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
