Alpharetta Dental Care is a rapidly growing private dental practice focused on providing high-quality care in a supportive, patient-centered environment. Weâre currently seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team in a flexible, as-needed (PRN) role. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a variable schedule and wants the stability of being a go-to assistant for one âhomeâ office, rather than rotating between different practices. Hours will vary week to week based on patient flow and coverage needs, and weâll reach out in advance whenever possible as shifts become available. What Youâll Do: Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection control guidelines Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and assist with diagnostic imaging Fabricate temporary crowns and take impressions Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Be cross-trained to assist at the front desk as needed (checking patients in/out, answering phones, scheduling, etc.) What Weâre Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited dental assisting program X-ray certification (Required) Proficient in taking impressions and fabricating temporary crowns Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills Reliable and team-oriented with great attention to detail Flexible availability and responsiveness for last-minute or short-notice coverage when possible Social media experience is a plus Cross-training or willingness to assist with front office tasks is a strong plus What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay (based on experience and skills) Opportunity for professional growth Supportive team environment with open communication Modern, well-equipped dental office No nights or weekends â enjoy work/life balance!
