Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain infection control protocols by adhering to sterilization procedures and guidelines. Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment. Document medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Provide support in pediatric dentistry by assisting with child patients in a friendly and reassuring manner. Utilize Epic or similar software for patient management and record keeping. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with the dental team and patients. Implement four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided. Knowledge of infection control practices is essential. Familiarity with taking vital signs, medical documentation, and medical imaging techniques is advantageous. Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency in using Epic or similar dental software is desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with patients of all ages.
