Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to infection control practices. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take patient histories and manage patient records accurately. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure optimal patient care. Stay updated on best practices in medical coding and dental assisting to enhance service delivery. Requirements Experience preferred but not required. We can teach you on the job so apply! Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of infection control procedures and general dentistry practices is essential. Familiarity with medical coding, Epic software, or other relevant dental software is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to pursue certification is encouraged.
