Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires proficiency in various dental assisting tasks, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Perform dental radiography (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and postoperative care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as required. Utilize Oryx software for patient management and record keeping. Support ALL patients with a friendly approach to create a comfortable environment. Maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in medical documentation and understanding of medical terminology. Familiarity with Endodontics (Root Canals) Experience with 3D scanning technology is advantageous. You will be taking 3D scans Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure infection control. Ability to perform basic dental assisting tasks, including taking impressions and preparing materials.
