Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly adhered to throughout the practice. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient management and documentation.. Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required. Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Proven experience in dental assisting, particularly in general dentistry settings. Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and procedures. Familiarity with infection control standards and practices. Experience with medical coding is a plus but not mandatory. Proficiency in using dental software systems (Dentrix). Certification in CPR and other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
