Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency with various dental software systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on providing exceptional dental care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is highly valued. The position involves supporting clinical operations while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and infection control protocols. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans and medical imaging as required fabrication of temporary crowns. Coronal polishing. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards Record vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures Provide patient education regarding dental procedures, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care Managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain cleanliness of the clinical environment following infection control protocols and OSHA standards Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience in medical imaging including X-ray technology Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and safety Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy Certification or registration as a Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant is required or preferred depending on state licensing requirements This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care within a professional environment committed to excellence in dentistry.
