Overview We are a PRIVATE OFFICE seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are ready - Take and develop dental x-rays - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - X-ray certification - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in dental software systems (Opendental) - Strong understanding of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Bilingual - Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures At our dental practice, we offer competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth.
