Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform medical imaging and assist in taking X-rays as required. Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records for all patients. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness in the dental office. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices. Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient files. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding is advantageous for managing patient records efficiently. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in CPR or BLS is preferred.
