Responsibilities Conduct patient evaluations including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health assessments. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment. Collaborate with dentists and team members to provide comprehensive care tailored to pediatric patients and general dentistry needs. Requirements Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current state certification. Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties including medical imaging, vital signs collection, and documentation review.
