Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper hygiene practices. This position requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and documentation practices. PART-TIME: 1-3 DAYS PER WEEK Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide exceptional patient care. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient management and record keeping. Support pediatric dentistry efforts by providing age-appropriate care and education to young patients. Skills Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures. Strong understanding of medical records management and documentation review. Familiarity with Dentrix software systems is preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments effectively. Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health. Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation and compliance with HIPAA standards. Competence in medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous.
