Dental Hygienist Job Summary We have an immediate opening for a Dental Hygienist. At this location we have 2 FT (4 days a week) hygienists. Due to an urgent situation, our founding and lead hygienist has gone on maternity leave until the first week of June earlier than expected. We need to fill that role immediately. The position is for 2-3 days of work, 10-7, with a 1 hour lunch. This position is only to cover the maternity leave until June, however we have multiple locations and if both parties are interested at the end of the maternity leave, we are open to a long term position. We have a close knit team with many members who have been with us from 10-40 years. We are looking for a team player to join our family. We value our hygienists and provide assistants to them along with giving ample time for procedures. Excellent bedside manner and patient communication are our focal points. We pride ourselves in providing excellent care to all of our patients and expect our hygienists to be attentive and detailed in their cleanings. Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities Gather patient information and health background Take x-rays Administer Local anesthesia Prepare the work area for procedures Clean and polish patients’ teeth and gums Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits Update patient records Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment Restock treatment areas Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program Current state license and x-ray certification Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques Excellent communication skills Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $58.00 - $64.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Application Question(s): Are you available at least 2 Saturdays a month?
