Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Hollis, NY
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health, perform preventive dental procedures, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient dental office environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as necessary. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures and provide chairside assistance during treatments. Apply aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Utilize medical imaging technologies to capture diagnostic images as required. Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, with familiarity in Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques and pediatric care is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence in patient care tasks.
