Job description At Wooster Family Dental, we treat our patients and team members as we treat our own families. Here, instruments are tailored to your preference, sharpened routinely and Perio charting is completed with our hygiene assistant. We are a Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) certified practice. Never used this new technology before? No worries! Certification training would be provided. This technology has been AMAZING for both the health and longevity of our hygienist’s hands, and our patient’s periodontal health. Appointment times are based on patient needs and your recommendation as a skilled provider. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible throughout their appointment. Sterilize dental instruments properly/infection control. Conduct oral cancer screenings and check health history. Identify caries and proper periodontal diagnosis per patient needs. Preventative treatment (e.g. plaque and calculus removal, apply fluoride and sealants) Educate patients of all ages on proper home care techniques. Give proper instructions/ education after dental procedures. Take X-rays, dental impressions, fabricate whitening trays. Assist dentists with treatment planning. Maintain documentation/charting/ Perio-charting of each patient.
