Overview: Our small privately owned practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. We run single column hygiene with a lunch break. We also work an alternating schedule of Monday-Thursday one week followed by Tuesday-Friday the next. This position is for full time. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, examining patients for signs of oral diseases, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Responsibilities: - Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth - Conduct thorough examinations of patients' oral health, including checking for signs of gum disease, cavities, and other dental issues - Take and develop dental x-rays as needed - Administer local anesthesia to patients when necessary - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment - Stay informed about the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies Requirements: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene - Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and dental coding procedures - Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and interact with patients effectively - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision - Ability to work well in a team environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Ability to Relocate: Owasso, OK: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
