Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Take and develop dental X-rays - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Perform dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations - Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Assist with dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring and trimming models - Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as fabricating temporary crowns Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - X-ray certification required; additional certifications such as CPR and coronal polishing are a plus - Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding - Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Skills: - CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software proficiency for creating digital impressions - Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for capturing dental images - Familiarity with patient assessment techniques for evaluating oral health conditions - Understanding of dental receptionist duties for managing appointments and patient records We offer competitive compensation based on experience, along with benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and cash bonus.
