Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Berwick, PA
Responsibilities: - Perform patient assessments and oral examinations - Take and record medical histories and vital signs - Clean and polish patients' teeth - Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques - Take dental x-rays and develop them for review by the dentist - Assist the dentist during procedures as needed - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix - Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control - Use medical coding systems to accurately bill insurance companies Experience: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry - Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and techniques Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
