Overview Dental Hygienist in small private practice. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain healthy smiles. Taking xrays Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Infection control Requirements Valid PA licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. CPR Certification Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health. Knowledge of infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and proper sterilization techniques. Ability to perform patient care tasks updating medical history and patient assessment with compassion and professionalism. Strong understanding of dental coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate record management. Ability to adapt easily to work environment. Flexible work environment.
