Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and support the overall patient experience. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring patient safety and comfort Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Curve Manage medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on dental procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care using appropriate dental terminology Assist with medical imaging procedures and maintain accurate medical records for each patient Support the dental reception team as needed by managing patient flow and scheduling appointments Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols in a dental setting Experience with dental X-ray procedures and 3D scanner technology Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and pediatric patient care Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental treatments including endodontics and prosthodontics Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry Skilled in aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific systems or procedures as needed Join our team to provide compassionate patient care while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values professionalism, continuous learning, and excellence in dental assisting.
