Job Description We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and compassionate part-time Dental Assistant to join our brand new dental office in Merrifield, Virginia. The Dental Assistant will play an essential role in supporting the dentist, ensuring efficient clinical flow, and providing an outstanding experience for our patients. Preferred: Spanish speaking + background in Denticon. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms and providing chairside assistance Take dental X-rays as needed and ensure proper infection control and sterilization protocols are followed Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative instructions, and preventive care Maintain inventory, order dental supplies, and ensure equipment is properly maintained Assist with scheduling appointments, billing support, and maintaining accurate patient records Create a warm, calm, and welcoming environment to help reduce patient anxiety Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred X-ray certification and CPR certification required Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates are welcome to apply Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience 401(k) with matching Dental, health, and vision insurance Paid time off Employee discounts Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Supportive, team-oriented work environment Modern office with advanced technology Ongoing training and development opportunities Job Type Part-time Schedule Monday through Friday Work Location In person How to Apply If you are passionate about dentistry and excited to be part of a brand new, growing practice, we encourage you to apply.
