Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient office operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, and dental implants . Experience with Eaglesoft would be a plus. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting with chairside procedures, imaging including CBCT, and managing dental and medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, surgical, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper infection control protocols Record vital signs and medical history accurately in Eaglesoft Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency Manage medical records and documentation following HIPAA guidelines Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when needed Support infection control procedures and ensure compliance with all safety standards in the dental clinic Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Familiarity with Eaglesoft is highly desirable Experience with X-ray procedures and medical imaging techniques including 3D scanners Background in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is advantageous Certification or training in infection control practices and aseptic technique is preferred Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with complex dental procedures such as prosthodontics and surgical procedures This position requires a proactive individual committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the clinical team efficiently.
