and Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate must be blingual (Spanish) and will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining infection control standards and utilizing advanced dental technology to enhance patient outcomes. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during various procedures such as chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and operating medical imaging equipment. * Provide patient education on dental procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care using appropriate dental terminology. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures and support the dental team in delivering compassionate care to pediatric patients. * Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations. Operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools efficiently and safely. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow using skills in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting. * Proficiency in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique. Ability to operate X-ray machines and other diagnostic imaging equipment while adhering to safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about procedures and oral health. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
