Job Description : At Tentmakers Dentistry, we are looking for a compassionate, caring, and gentle Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team. Our practice prides itself on creating a warm and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. The ideal candidate will have not only the technical skills to perform dental hygiene procedures but also the kindness and empathy to build strong patient relationships and contribute positively to our practice culture. Responsibilities : Perform professional teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing with a focus on patient comfort. Take dental X-rays as needed, ensuring patient ease during the process. Assess patients’ oral health and update patient records with a friendly and attentive approach. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care in an encouraging manner. Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures with a calm and reassuring presence. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants with care, ensuring patients understand the benefits. Maintain accurate and updated patient records in compliance with regulations. Keep dental instruments and equipment clean and sterilized, following infection control protocols. Contribute positively to a team that values collaboration and mutual respect. Qualifications : Associate’s degree in dental hygiene or equivalent. Valid state dental hygienist license. Current CPR/BLS certification. Previous experience as a dental hygienist preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make patients feel at ease. A kind, gentle, and compassionate nature with a commitment to providing the best possible care. Ability to work well within a team environment, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
