Dental Clinical Assistant - Savin Dental Associates - Glencoe, IL

Savin Dental Associates is located in the heart of downtown Glencoe, IL 60022. We are supportive, customer-centric and fast-paced dental office. Savin Dental Associates is a well-established general dental practice serving the North Shore communities for 50 years. We treat our patients with compassion and help educate patients to improve their oral health. Our practice is looking for an experienced dental assistant who will continue to make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Some Duties and Skills Required will include: > Monitor patient arrival times; to greet and escort patient to the treatment rooms > Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques in order to disinfect treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations > Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for treatment > Show compassionate care and concern, and help patients feel comfortable for treatment > Review patient health history according to the practice protocol > Anticipate and assist the dentist during patient treatment through 4-handed dentistry > Take digital dental X-rays (incl Panorex/CBCT ) and process with digital sensors or phosphor plates > Competent in taking Alginate impressions and pouring up models, as well as digital scans > Ensure that accurate treatment notes are recorded for each patient in the dental software > Provide patients with post-op instructions and demonstrate proper hygiene techniques when necessary > Monitor and manage inventories, as well as clean and stock treatment rooms > Managing out-going/in-coming lab cases The following are not require but would be preferred**: > Current certification in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) > Perform coronal polishing, sealant application, fluoride application, and topical anesthetic application as needed > Nitrous oxide monitoring certification > Knowledge of Eaglesoft Dental Program >Digital scanning using iTero® digital scanning system >Maintaining Solea® Laser **Our practice can provide these certifications and training after hire if necessary Savin Dental Associates is a family practice and serves all demographics from preschool to geriatrics.
