Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to support dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure smooth clinic operations. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your technical skills and compassionate approach to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and medical documentation. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Take DIGITAL dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft accurately document treatment details and medical history. Support patients by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Maintain clinical supplies inventory, sterilize instruments, and uphold strict infection control standards. Collaborate with the dental team to facilitate four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care. Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures appropriately for insurance claims and record keeping. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient privacy. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to pediatric patients and their families.
