About Our Hygienists Our hygienists are proud to take part in thorough, comprehensive diagnosis & treatment. We are passionate about understanding each patient's unique treatment needs & tailoring each patient's experience to their needs. There are no recipes in our treatment rooms! Not only do we pay close attention to proper periodontal diagnosis & treatment, but we also focus on each patient's overall dental & medical health. For instance, we might help a patient understand the role of acid erosion in his diet, we might explain what are the risks of leaving a single periodontal pocket untreated, we might discuss how certain prescriptions lead to xerostomia, we might discuss the link between diabetes & periodontal disease, we might explain the risks of not wearing an athletic mouthguard, or we might explain how jaw function relates to occlusal disease. Our outstanding hygienists will understand all patient personalities & how best to relate to each person who comes through our doors. Our hygienists are valued as in-house specialists whose professional role is to co-diagnose & coordinate with the dentists to provide excellent, customized care to every patient.
